Noel H. Benedict,
managing attorney.
For many years the
main focus of Mr. Benedict’s practice
as a trial attorney was defending insurance
companies, during which time he represented
defendants in a wide cross section of
civil and business matters, gaining
invaluable experience in correctly and
successfully evaluating and concluding
hundreds of legal cases for regional
and nationally known companies. Mr.
Benedict has maintained a claimant’s
personal injury and family law practice
for over 28 years, including serious
auto and truck accidents, catastrophic
injuries, medical malpractice and wrongful
death, product and premises liability,
work |
related injuries, divorce, custody, child
support, family violence, juvenile court
cases, social security disability,
and business law. A lifelong resident of
Atlanta, he received his undergraduate degree
in sociology from Emory University in Atlanta
before enrolling at the University of Georgia
School of Law, where he graduated cum laude
with a Juris Doctorate. He has been a member
of the Georgia Bar Association since 1975
and is also a member of the Gwinnett County
Bar Association. Mr. Benedict has made
his home in Gwinnett County for eighteen
years
and in 1998 moved his successful Decatur
law practice to Gwinnett County. Mr. Benedict
is an arts enthusiast, an accomplished
potter, and a silversmith hobbyist.
Melinda Nelson, Associate
Attorney
A
Walter George School of Law at Mercer University graduate, Ms. Nelson is an experienced
attorney with a solid foundation in both civil and criminal law. Prior to joining
the firm, she gained a thorough understanding of the criminal justice system
while serving as assistant solicitor in an Atlanta metropolitan court, where
she negotiated and prosecuted a variety of cases, honing her skills as a trial
attorney. Ms. Nelson brings with her the incisive analytical skills so important
to the practice of law, as well as an excellent working background in criminal,
family, and related law issues. A native Georgian, she is an avid runner with
aspirations to run a marathon. In addition to the successful practice of law,
Ms. Nelson has experience in retail marketing. In her private life she practices
yoga, watches classic movies, and enjoys the beach.
Chantinell Singleton-Majors,
Paralegal
Ms. Singleton-Majors is an ABA certified
paralegal and graduate of the National Center
for Paralegal Training. A native of New York,
Ms. Singleton-Majors is a veteran of the
United States Marine Corps. Her hobbies include
reading, especially biographies, and she
has been an avid bowler and member of bowling
leagues since she was ten years old. Her
love of learning is a constant in her life,
and law school is in her future. Chantinell
Singleton-Majors brings a wealth of life
experience and expertise to her paralegal
duties at Noel H. Benedict & Associates.
Paola Beuthin, Ms. Paola Beuthin
attended Central Florida Community College,
originally intending to pursue a career
in law enforcement. After taking a job
in an attorney’s office, however,
her career path changed as her interest
in legal issues and client representation
grew. Ms. Beuthin’s experience in
Florida and Georgia law firms qualifies
her as a valuable legal assistant to the
firm. With her fluency in both English
and Spanish, Ms. Beuthin is capable of
assisting a diverse population of clients.
